Should I just keep doing $10k CDs?

I could do one about every 8 months.

Contrary to the name "money market" your funds are not swayed up nor down by "the market", as in, stocks. You do, however, gain interest at a higher rate than a typical savings account. I use Capital One 360 Money Market. Balances of $10,000 or more gain 2.00% APY.

My online savings account yields more.

I'm just looking for something where I can invest in certain stocks. I have about an extra $1k a month from income. I'm thinking $500 per stock.

I have precious metals, crypto currencies, savings+cd, but no stocks and bonds, and no 401k. I do have good health, a vehicle, my own apartment, no debt, fun toys.

stocks and share holding are among the most disgusting human activities, they're at least 3 notches below child rapists.

How about getting an IRA going? Even better, a Roth IRA?

No. A 401k is just tax strategy. You can get an average compound annual growth rate of 10% with a good index fund or mutual fund. That could be in a tax advantaged account like a 401k or it could be in a taxable brokerage account.
