people say that benzos will wreck ur life and i think that can definitely be true. i've had my fair share of times where i used etiz/benzos to numb out all day or pass out because i didn't want to handle reality, but now i feel like most of that shit was just caused by using meth or opioids which can both result in intense anxiety. i don't need 3+ mg every day to feel alright, and my tolerance has went down just from lowering to 1-2 mg a night, so it seems like my tolerance is stabilizing rather than going off to infinity along the t axis lmao. it just relieves the crippling (in the sense that it stops me from actually doing things in life, not like i feel like i'm going to die) anxiety so well and i seem to have adjusted to it so that i don't feel like my cognitive abilities are any more fucked up than they were when i was sober. i also have no desire to use stronger benzos like alprazolam because they fuck me up too much.

anyways has anyone used benzos successfully or will i just end up having seizures?

Last time I checked...I don't think any of us is named God. Nor do I think any of us are fortune tellers. A good rule of thumb is to only use as needed. Everything in moderation. I'm an addict and I struggle with this concept greatly. I know it's easier said than done.

benzos are degenerate and no doctor prescribes them for long term use you are supposed to get a bottle and it lasts years.

then i guess i should consider myself lucky that i'm in the elite ranks of those who can use in moderation. not that your statement isn't false anyways, doctors prescribe benzos long term all the time.

They aren't good doctors than because it's proven they do brain damage if you use them long term even in low doses.

this post gave me more brain damage than etizolam ever will

but really, so does drinking 6 beers a week, procrastination, and doing amphetamines. i've pretty much solidified the part of my identity that says i'm never going to be a member of the mormon church, so it's kind of inconsequential to me if i can function/work/learn/exercise on them

true dat, but at the same time six beers is nothing lol.

id rather drink six beers a day than say take seroquel once a day. far more retarding if you ask me.

i thought etiz was stronger than alprazolam from what i've heard. What makes it better? Ive never been much into benzos but I know every benzo is... well... different...

6 beers a week a fine but taking benzos is like drinking a 6 pack or more every day

1-2mg probably won't mess you up as much as heroinand meth, and especially not for like the first year, but if you it long term it WILL screw you up, and unfortunately you wont be able to realize that damage until you get sober.

After talking to some people, I've decided I'm going to get a constultation with a medical malpractice lawyer. Giving 8mg xanax a day for 4 years to a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD no less, is abuse, and my doctor was simply a 65 year old goddamn drug dealer.

yea, so more alcohol probably causes more. etiz is definitely weaker than alprazolam. it's probably the weakest benzo i've tried, on par with lorazepam.

nah it's not, it's more like 2 beers a night in terms of effects at least. obviously it's dependent on dose.

I went on a three year binge and quit cold turkey not knowing the withdrawal symptoms and dam near masturbated. Had a seizure at school in the restroom, about twenty minutes passed before someone found me laying on the floor. I occasionally still indulge in Benzos bc their so nice but I highly recommend not drinking at the same time as taking Benzos as they both affect your brain the same way. I'm sure you know this but please always taper off your dosage and never stop cold turkey.

that's fucking insane, i can't even imagine how damaging being on that kind of dose at that age would be. when i was that age i would be totally blacked out off 2 mg of xanax.

i've been on them for a couple years now. i was doing 4-6 mg daily back when i was on a bunch of other shit too. it was kind of boring tapering down but i did it over a long time and can't really say i had any significant withdrawal, other than my eyes feeling slightly shaky and wanting to clench my jaw a lot.
