These types of constructions always get exaggerated in history. But to be one of the seven ancient wonders, they must have been spectacular. I am pretty convinced by the Wikipedia section that proposes that the real gardens were the ones at Neveneh.

Most of the books at the Library of Alexandria survived elsewhere. By the time the library was finally destroyed, there were no books in it. -

Interesting...
I never bothered to look into it too deeply until now, but yeah it turns out that with extensive copying of the existing books, as well as commentaries and so on being written at the time, not a lot of original works would have been truly and irrecoverably lost. -
