   This would allow third parties to be valid candidates without the stigma of "throwing your vote away" while also solving the issue of mandate/"tyranny of the majority".

   I agree and don't have much to add, FPTP is garbage.
   
   STV or even a perma-deadlocked house on a proportional system would be better.
