2019-04-12 at 5:30 PM UTCits like asking why don't women work in construction as much, the answers are obvious.
More women in daycare bc traditional gender roles, higher emotional attachment to children and tend and befriend hormones (ocytocin, estrogen) in women, being perceived as a pussy in men, lower interest due to childhood environments (women are nurses and caregivers, men are breadwinners, women cook and clean and make babies), etc. etc.
This is changing of course, but not rapidly as with most things, especially not in a conservative area like Fargo, ND. -
2019-04-12 at 5:34 PM UTCNATURAL INCLINATIONS like I said :)

Well aside from the obvious the reason I ask is because I'd imagine there ARE plenty of males that are very capable and good with children but dont take the job because of the stigma, rather than because of their inability to do it, whereas the females in construction comparison is different because females are demonstrably physically weaker and less capable at rigorous manual labor. 2019-04-12 at 5:59 PM UTCI have a friend, named Jessica. And she has 3 kids and all 3 of her kids and her sleep on one pillow as well. Unfortunately their father left and had another child with a different woman. But in her household they share.

Capability doesn’t necessarily equal desire. -

2019-04-13 at 12:26 AM UTCYeah, the shittiest jobs tend to pay the worst. I was a CNA for two years and started at 11.25/hr and ended at like 12.50 I think.
Some bitch who worked there longer than me quit because she got angry when she figured out I made more money starting out than she was making after working there for like 2 years.
That's the fucking worst job in the world and it doesn't pay shit lol. -
