Also, I think the point here is that people struggling to pay their bills are going to get a more than reasonable amount of money to cover their food costs. If they choose to spend it unwisely then that's unfortunate, but you're now cut off and going to have to obtain it some other way.

what kind of car do you have?

Then theres all the other features you have to worry about like input lag, throw distance, keystone correction, zoom, lens shift, focus, which type of projector it is (ldp etc.), bulb life, and so on. Projectors are nice but like I said its a pain in the ass to pick one, as when you find one that has all you need, just one of the many features will be lacking, making the projector not suitable for its intended use. Its hard to find one that has everything you need without going into the thousands of dollars range.

be advised that projectors emit more harmful blue / violet radiation than a screen would, and having all those harmful rediations reflected back at you for hours and hours might not be such a good idea.

Very interesting, thanks. I did not think about various spectrums of light when I set up my office. But wouldn't monitors emit a lot of this as well? With a monitor, you stare directly at the source of light, whereas a projector bounces the light off of a screen first.

Do you have any links about this?

p.s. i adjust the settings on the projector to lowest brightness that is still usable, and I use a mode that is very easy on the eyes unless I'm playing a game (almost never) or watching a movie (almost never).

The roads in minneapolis are ridiculously bad and the potholes so plentiful that sometimes it's impossible to not go over them. Coupled with the harsh winters and terrible plowing, it's almost enough to make me want a buy a *shudder* crossover, but fuck I don't wanna get 30-40% worse mileage when I drive for a living. Some of them get 25 combined I guess, but ugh hard to go from 35 to 25.

idk, its in the spec you quoted. 3k lumen, 70k to 1 contrash ratio, looks good in bright day light. you dont get that kind of illumination from monitors.

This is simply what the projector is capable of. It is meant to use for movies in a dark room. I sit in a well lit room, with brightness set to very low to the point where the black task bar (but not the icons on it) on my w10 almost blends in with the color of the grey (actually white but in a more shaded spot) projector screen. The image is also set to a more "warm" color setting. If I turn the brightness/etc. up, the dark color of the taskbar is distinct from the projector screen.

I do not get the eye strain that I used to get with a monitor. When I was younger I remember being infront of a monitor a few hours then going outside not being able to see shit. I don't get this anymore.

i just know that LEDs are quite powerful. i had a colored tape that i stick to my phones rear camera, which happens to have an LED torchlight right next to it, and just after tens of minutes of using the torchlight, the red tape that covered the LED faded to white.

that cant be good for the eyes. more researches are needed i think.
