   Goes to Iggy Pop not Ramones.
   
   Iggy was Proto Punk. Ramones were dubbed "Punk" by some music magazine (Rolling stone or Wired or some shit)
   
   Therefore "Punk" was from Michagan. not the east coast as I once thought.
   
   Though the first true Garage Punk bands came out of New Jersey in the late 1950s. which is why the Ramones were refered to as Punk with their leather jackets and crew nek tshirts from the late 50s
   
   But some say LOVE 7 an 7 is" is the first Punk song by design.
