    yeah I dunno, think it was to make it more difficult to counter the zombies without making them run because they liked the slow, lumbering aesthetic

    still though, guy was supposed to be elite 'special' forces, you'd think he'd be less of a mong. unless the whole thing was a trip through his warped psyche like silent hill though, where the 'president's daughter' was actually a social worker and the village chief was an orderly trying to get him back into his cell

    silent hill 2 specifically was the main character working through his guilt over


    lolyeah, silent hill easter eggs were ace. I think 3 was my favourite for that, main character gets a sailor moon outfit and the investigator who turns up from time to time gets a 'no pants trenchcoat only' outfit if you beat the game with a certain ranking

    That's what I call replay-value.

    Fuck KONAMI, though. They have ruined what could've been one of the craziest games ever with Kojima and Del Toro(!) teaming up for "Silent Hills".

    eh, I stopped following the series after The Room. that one was actually pretty good, but didn't feel like a Silent Hill game at all. I tried a few of the more recent ones and they don't seem to have the same atmosphere - stupid glowing vulnerable parts on monsters do not belong in a survival horror game.
