The funny thing is, I can immediately tell if someone is from the UK if they use the term "Paki".
I live in a North American city that is >33% South Asian, and even we don't ever use that term.
Hindu is the most common pejorative.
Brown people is about the least offensive (next to South Asian or Indo-Canadian or person of Indian origin, but no one other than myself seems to use those ones).
I've heard Punjabi (even though they don't all come from Punjab), or "East Indian"... That one sounds not too bad but it still kinda bugs me for some reason.
I've also heard "dot head", "curry", and a few other more obscure ones.
But very rarely "Paki" around here for some reason.
