2-allyl-catechol from wastewater. This stuff gets disposed of at cost as a byproduct from the paper manufacturing process but in my country it actually gets recycled and diverted to illegal clandestine labs and converted into mdp2p and eventually ecstasy that makes it onto worldwide markets

this was written 20 years ago and has been perfected by clandestine industrial chemists, there are no TEKS or writeups how to do it but the science does exist the proof is in the pudding. You can make drugs from toxic waste and criminal organizations hire real chemists to figure this stuff out and keep it secret from the public so there is less regulation and they are able to operate with impunity. Nobody gives a fuck about catechol but if you get enough you can make drugs from it, you can buy or make it but getting it for free and hiring actual chemists to perform tests is the best way.
Obviously this is not publically available anywhere but it is how actual criminal groups produce MDMA in the modern day where I live -

i mean its just solvent you can legally order it from ebay but the hazmat shipping is usually in the hundreds of dollars. I had a hard time getting it in lower mainland because I was in bumfuck nowhere but you are closer to civilization so there might be a chemhouse to buy some, sourcing is A LOT more difficult than actually making drugs.
What are you trying to do that calls for it? You can probably just replace it with something cheap and easy to find.. people just prefer it because it has certain properties that make it useful for certain applications, it's a very cheap solvent in terms of buying it in large quantity it costs bascially nothing to produce and isn't watched or on any lists but it's hard to find someone that will outright sell you a small amount. amateur chemist struggles

not where I live, methylamine is legal which is funny because it was an entire plot point in breaking bad and its illegal as fuck in USA. Also amateur chemistry is legal and this is all strictly speculation and nerd B.S'ing so who really cares? -

There are many options for this. This is still a work in progress, but after about 20 runs, I came to use this work up. You can use ethyl acetate (EtOAc), chloroform or methylene chloride (dichloromethane aka DCM) to perform the solvent extractions. I have normally used DCM as it's nice since the organic layer drops to the bottom of the separatory funnel.
Setup for a simple distillation.
Distill, throwing out the first 5-10mls, or so, of distillate as it will contain a fair amount of nitric oxides. Distill off as much water as possible, basically until the sodium chloride starts to saturate the aqueous layer and precipitate out.
The remainder of the distillate (approximately 700ml) will contain approximately 1g GBL/10ml.
Treat the remainder of the distillate with NaHCO3 at reflux for 30 mins
Boil with about a 5% volume of activated charcoal (ie 35ml activated charcoal) (compared to the volume of the solution) for 5-10mins.
Allow it to cool and enhancement, wash the charcoal with distilled water. Save the NaGHB.
With the remainder of the aqueous, extract 5 times with 625ml portions of DCM.
Distill off the DCM (reuse that DCM!).
Distill the GBL (under vacuum if available).
React with NaHCO3 and distilled water and treat with activated charcoal as before.
They do mention that there are suitable alternatives, but apparently DCM is the solvent of choice by whomever wrote the write-up.
I'm still in the research phase on exactly how interchangeable these different solvents are. -

totally legal in canada lel, we are too slow to catch on/asian bribe the regultors to keep it legal so they can import 1000kg and cook meth and MDMA for international markets

I have heard of people using farm grade ammonia to make meth and there is some kind of weird additive they put in it to prevent people from doing so

Trials were conducted using the one-pot procedure (Supplement 2) on Sudafed® tablets (control) and Impede™ technology tablets (test). Three different primary non-polar solvents were tested. Heptane/ether mix (automotive starter fluid), and hexanes were evaluated as a single trial for each whereas petroleum distillates (camper fuel) was performed as duplicate trials. Each trial used 100 crushed tablets containing 30 mg of pseudoephedrine HCl. Initially, a consistent amount of non-polar solvent was present on top of the insoluble drug products and added reactants. Once the reaction commenced (Step 7), the control and test articles progressed differently. The texture of the control reaction solids remained granular with the non-polar layer remaining visibly unchanged in volume. The Impede™ technology tablet polymer matrix became coarse and ultimately swelled to subsume a large amount of the non-polar layer. This mixture also entrapped gas bubbles throughout the reaction and gas pockets could be seen throughout the solids at the completion of the reaction. Subsequently, less than half of the solvent was recovered after enhancementing the reaction mixture.
The results of all trials for the control and Impede™ technology tablets are shown in Table 3. The one-pot reaction experiments for the control resulted in a mean methamphetamine HCl yield of 1.81 g/reaction for a mean yield of 67% relative to the 2.7 g theoretical 100% yield. The range of methamphetamine recovery for control was 1.44–2.10 g. The Impede reaction experiments resulted in a mean methamphetamine HCl yield of 1.02 g/reaction for a mean yield of 38%. The range of methamphetamine HCl recovery for Impede was 0.77–1.33 g. In all reactions, Impede resulted in a lower yield than control regardless of the solvent type used. Overall, Impede™ technology tablets are 44% lower in mean total methamphetamine recovery relative to the control. In general the methamphetamine recovery results were fairly consistent for the three solvents tested with a relative standard deviation for all four trials at 15.1 and 22.4% for control and Impede, respectively." -
