2019-03-15 at 8:18 AM UTCCan I build a very high end machine that would act as the server, then connect a few other pcs to it over the network and use the highend machine as a processing machine for the less power machines?
Like, this would work like how an eGPU works, you have a less powerful device, you connect it to this really powerful machine either over usb-c or ethernet and draw power from that.
lets say it's 10 years from now and I can code and model and etc and I have a setup like that, could I program a game to work with something like that? -
2019-03-15 at 9:54 PM UTCSo you want to power your devices from one?

I want to build like a really high powered (several times above the standard of a high end vr rig, more like a server a corporation would use) server that will link to other computers that can draw power from it.
I want to build some very intensive VR applications that can draw power from multiple cpus and gpus, so I could link multiple machines together to create one very powerful rig (think Serial Experiments Lain).
inb4 I download some biology pdfs and create a BCI headset that actually works -

I’m pretty sure that’s how every online game works -
