Whether it came from organized religious activities, practicing yoga and meditation, or from using hallucinogens, share it!

    Mine have all been either:

    1. Aesthetic appreciation (think "bag floating in the wind" monologue from American Beauty).
    2. Drug induced, usually euphoriant-based drugs moreso than hallucinogens, though.
    3. Requited romance. I mean, is there anything more metaphysically significant than feeling a connection between two souls?

My experiences have not been with god. But with people who claim to follow his morals/path whatever it’s called. And how these people are just as corrupt as anyone, their values and beliefs are strongly used to judge others but not so much for themselves. What makes me hate these people is how self righteous they can be but deep down they are the same scum as all of us. I do/have done many things immoral in my life, but I try my best to never harm or hate my fellow man. I think to truly believe in god is just believing in yourself and doing the best you can for those around you. The interesting part is I have this belief to try and be nice to people but break it when it suits me. Perhaps I’m the very same as some Jesus freak pounding on his bible while I listen to black metal, seek an alternate consciousness through substance, provide for my family, and help those I can. Hmmm major epiphany, calls for some Benzos and a beer

    Why doesn’t Jesus play hockey?

Everytime he goes in hard he gets nailed to the boards

I believe. I believe in the time of Law, and the current time of Grace. The work is finished. I believe the time of Law was meant to teach, not to subjugate. The 10 commandments were never attainable. They were meant to show that we are all the same. Rich, poor, doesn't matter. We all fall short. Through the sins of our fathers and confusion in our own minds.

I believe we're confused about what sin is. Sin isn't an evil deed. It is an aspect of our nature that keeps us separated from God. That cannot be changed through good thoughts or actions.

The most damaging confusion is self condemnation. There's no need. I am no better or worse than the next man. We've all cut ourselves off from God.

Grace. This is the biggest source of confusion and the hardest truth to understand and accept. We've all been given Grace unconditionally. From the confused individual who attends church every Sunday thinking they are righteous, to the murderer who is broken from confusion and self condemnation. The Good Shepherd has opened the gates to all of us.

I read that on the back of a box of rice krispies while on a 10 strip in 2003. Good times.

I took a low quality stinging nettle root extract and did crunches for a couple weeks, got a six pack. But it made me emotionally retarded like bob from fight club, that's when I realized that God was in the breeze/wind and communicates to people through the wind.

I'm an atheist but there was this one time where out of nowhere I had this super vivid dream about god. I basically met this old woman who transported me to an asteroid belt in some distant star system and explained to me the glory of god and all the secrets of life. Then I woke up and was like “well that was fuckin weird”.

I couldn't remember the exact details of what me and that old lady talked about, but I had this profound feeling that god was personally sending me a message. But the rational part of my brain took over, “That doesn’t really prove shit. It was just a dream. If god really wanted me to believe in him then he would send me some kind of sign RIGHT NOW in real life, while I’m awake.”

Literally like 3 mins later someone knocked on the door and it was these two teenagers asking me to come to their bible study group. It was the first time that's ever actually happened to me.

I just thought to myself “man this is such a fucking amazingly random coincidence” and told them no thanks.
