But wouldn't smoking cocaine nitrate, if that even exists, put NO2 in your lungs? I mean, thermal decomposition of a nitrate often yields NO2 which turns to nitric acid on contact with moisture in the lungs. Was Cocaine Nitrate a joke? -

It's real, it's just an uncommon salt of cocaine.
