Self-imposed dilemmas

I can't eat until I've drunk a full bottle of wine, because I drink on an empty stomach to maximize absorption. I can't take my medications until an hour after I've eaten. The whole process creeps around the clock until I'm drunk by two, eating dinner at three, taking essential medications and going to sleep at four (already lamenting the passing of my peak of drunkenness) provided I don't dick around on this site for too long.

This alone has been a thorn in my side for years.

Factor in the medications situation and it's just brutal.

I've actually started weaning/tapering myself off of my prescribed psych meds simply to try to simplify the absolute rocket science tier planning that has to go into a nightly ritual.

wut? You should eat before drinking. Like sure you might save a few bucks in booze but it's a lot more enjoyable to drink after a hearty meal. Like you're just in chillin with a full stomach and getting a little drunk mode, not "I've had nothing to eat and my body is trying to run on alcohol calories and not doing a very good job" mode.

You can do all those things, "Can't" is a weak mans excuse....your choice not to do them does not equate into an inability to do them.

    Aren't most dilemmas inherently self-imposed?

It’s not that I want to save money, but more that I’ve arbitrarily limited myself to one bottle and I want to get the most out of it. That will likely change very soon. I don't care about my body running on wine, I don't care if my body eats itself either.

You're probably spending quite a lot buying these fancy cover art bottles, no?

This is becoming an expensive habit, though I try to keep it between $9-$13 a bottle. I splurged a bit and got some nicer wines today because I received my tax refund.

That's a good question! It depends on how you regard the individual's relationship to morality. If you think we're atomic beings with no innate sense of what's right, who make moral decisions on the basis that we've inherited or adapted to a prevailing system of ethics in our environment, then yes. But I might then remind you that these systems were likely devised at some point by individuals.

I fear Zanick has become a subliminal piss head cause of this artwork Vino.

First it's flouride to subdue, now fancy illustrated bottles of joy to destroy!

Oddly enough, neither of the wines I’m drinking tonight have prominently visible graphics.

That's a really expensive habit (for alcohol). You're spending like ~300 a month just on getting drunk.

You could greatly benefit from developing a taste for whiskey.

Then you can use the money to buy even better wine? That's usually how my drinking habits work anyway.

I'm getting ready to build a small distillery. I just purchased a small plot of land. I need to get a trailer onto it first somehow.

Yup, I used to work at a store that sells winemaking supplies. You can buy kits which is supposedly cheaper than relying on store bought wine but if you can get your own fruit you can brew many gallons for cheap.
