With opus set to 128kbps you could store a million songs

    On a 60tb nas

60tb hamr hard drives should exist by 2023 and ssds might follow.

Anybody planning on building the ultimate jukebox?
By the time those drives are around I might actually build a jukebox then collect a massive collection of music and put it on the jukebox as opus files.
    This codec is pretty promising.
I only tried abxing a little bit but right now I'm stuck with my mdr-xb500 headphones so it's pretty pointless to do an and test, they're really muddy cans.
I have always been against lossy compression but it is getting better and I was really impressed with what h.265 did for a few files I was messing around with so maybe things are shaping up.
I was thinking about having my music collection all in opus then the lossless files on lto tapes.

Do you losers have a preference when it comes to audio encoding and codecs
