I've spend a good number of years incarcerated and thus played my fair share of card games, the most common in the correctional facility world being spades. I've also dabbled in pinochle, hearts, canasta, whist, various rummies, casino, cribbage, poker, and a few others. Spades is by far the most common and popular and what I'm getting at is that I sort of had forgotten about it since I don't have the type of friends to get together and play a 4 person game of cards.
A few drunken nights on TC I got to talking with panny about our mutual joy for the game and particularly the prison version which has fewer rules than the standard version. If you don't know how to play you probably won't know what I'm talking about, but in prison generally you can break trump (spades) whenever, without having to wait for them to be broken (much like you can't break hearts in hearts until you are completely out of a suit). The other main difference is that sandbags or extra tricks aren't counted. This prevents pussy ass underbidding and bagging your opponents and forces you to try harder to correctly bid your hand. Tensions ran high as people gambled anything from a simple dinner desert to multiple dinner or breakfast trays or any amount of commissary items. Good times.
Also, in prison or jail, you usually can't bid nil which is bidding 0 and if you manage to pull it off you get 10 points. It's sort of a cheap way to get back into a game when you're way behind.
Anyway, we were talking about how we wish there was a multiplayer online site where we could play 'prison spades.' I was able to find a pretty popular site that has a lot of traffic and keeps a ranking system depending on your wins and losses so that was neat. Unfortunately, no settings can be changed on the games other than the time limit, and all the aforementioned prison rules do not apply.
The moral of this thread is that I am so fucking cool that upon discovering this site about 2 weeks ago, I have played over 500 games. I tend to overdo things and with my habitual personality things like this seem to happen quite often. I've also binge watched the first 4 and half seasons of Oz over the same time period.
Any card game fans in the crowd, niggers?

^I only know how to cheat in rummy. I was never really a card guy but 3 years ago or so when I was in jail for a while I got into it.
thats a cool site, I know it might sound not as cool, but I really like dominoes more than cards for some reason. I also learned how to play that during that stint. It's mainly popular with the negros i noticed.

I stole a truck. A literal truck. Among other things. I've never been charged with possessing or selling drugs. I've gone to jail from probation violations stemming from failed drug tests. Mostly burglary and theft stuff from my younger days. A few DUIs from my later years.
