You're right, it's pretty funny. But, they should know that Arabs too are Semitic people. Therefore, advocating for their rights couldn't possibly make them "anti-Semitic." It's just what zionist NPCs like to shout. I mean, there are even Israelis who support Palestinians, or want a two-state solution, obviously they can't be "anti-Semitic." It's sad to see so many people falling for that meme, but at least the Irish see through that.

There's no such people as "Palestinians". Read your history book, no such people exist. Arab rights are one thing, but Palestinians have no claim to the land on which modern day Israel is founded. The jedis colonised that land, and made the desert bloom.

Its all good, most of the shots were just fireworks.

Campus community was and is in no danger from last night's events

San Francisco State University is committed to the safety and well-being of its students, faculty and staff and to its neighbors in the surrounding community.

Last evening three independent events near and on campus may have caused distress among the University community and its neighbors. We want to assure our students, faculty, staff and neighbors that the campus community was and is in no danger.

At approximately 7:40 p.m. last evening a shooting occurred near campus. University Police worked with the San Francisco Police Department in the investigation. After a thorough sweep of the campus and surrounding area, University Police reported that there was no active shooter/threat on the University campus. University Police continued to monitor campus safety and responded to concerns as they arose. The shooting victim is now receiving care and the campus community is in no danger at this time.

Several hours later, at approximately 11 p.m., the campus experienced a power outage due to issues experienced by PG&E.

At the same time, there were reports of fireworks in the area, which were mistaken for gunshots associated with the shooting that occurred near campus earlier in the evening.

The University worked as quickly as possible to gather the facts and inform the campus community and community at large of the events of the evening: the status of the shooting victim, the safety status of the campus and anticipated updates regarding the power outage.

We recognize that these events caused confusion and concern among the campus. It is our practice to provide timely updates to the campus community in instances of imminent threat.

Students who are in need of emotional or psychological support can contact Counseling & Psychological Services. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 am to 5 p.m. on Fridays in the Student Services Building Room 205. Call 415-338-2208 for appointments. Faculty and staff members in need of counseling may call 1-800-367-7474.

The University will provide updates as they become available.

Palestine is mentioned numerous times in the bible and other ancient texts.

Palestine in the ancient world was part of the region known as Canaan where the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah were located. The term `Palestine’ was originally a designation of an area of land in southern Canaan which the people known as the Philistines occupied a very small part of, the Canaanites, Canaanite-Phoenicians, and the Israelites, among others, having established themselves in the area much earlier. The Philistines are thought to have come to the area toward the end of the Bronze Age c. 1276 BCE and established themselves on the southern coastal plain of the Mediterranean Sea in an area afterwards known as Philistia.

The whole of the region was referred to as `Canaan’ in Mesopotamian texts and trade records found at Ebla and Mari as early as the 18th century BCE while the term `Palestine’ does not appear in any written records until the 5th century BCE in the Histories of Herodotus. After Herodotus, the term `Palestine’ came to be used for the entire region which was formerly known as Canaan.

The region is part of the so-called fertile crescent and human habitation there can be traced back to before 10, 000 BCE. The lands were originally inhabited by nomadic hunter-gatherers who most likely immigrated from Mesopotamia but became sedentary agriculturalists by the Early Bronze Age (c.3500-c.2000 BCE). In the Middle Bronze Age (c. 2000-c.1550 BCE)) trade with other nations expanded and Canaan prospered and in the Late Bronze Age (c.1550-c. 1200 BCE) this affluence continued as the region was incorporated into the Egyptian Empire (c.1570-c.1069 BCE).
