No but really, a narcissistic person thinks he is special, and people are to be used to make himself (seem)more special or provide the thing the underlying pathology demands.
So if i were a serial killer and i would take pride in remaining unnoticed by the police for years i would feel pretty fucking special, and in this case the objective is going unnoticed AKA outsmarting police, so the killing would be utilitarian, in a sense, it wouldn't matter if people died, in fact even if it did, tough shit, because i need to kill people to fuel the fire of my radiance.
Here is a test, imagine yourself, now imagine a fierce light emanating from you, the fiercest, brightest you have ever witnessed, like one would imagine an angel or God to appear before oneself. Does that do anything for you?
