   People like to think of China as a source of cheap labor. While China’s cost of labor is relatively cheap compared to other developed nations, they are by far not the cheapest. You also need to consider the skill level of the labor force. China is bountiful in skilled labor, a haven for those who need to have something manufactured. All of that being said, manufacturing will soon not be China’s main product. The service industry is taking over, with tourism climbing the ranks as one of China’s top exports. Some people feel threatened by this. They feel like China is growing too large as an economy. While their economy is quite large, so is their population. Compare China’s GDP per capita to that of the United States and you will feel right at home.
