They do give kids amphetamines very early. Usually around age 5 when they enter school, and the teacher is not creative enough to teach to her students needs.
Sorry, OP, but your parents are negligent for letting him be in control of the pills. Probably negligent enough to be in trouble with the law. No kid under 18 should be in control of such a strong drug that can be highly addictive.

My son was on Vicodin after a wrist surgery at 17. I was in control of the dosage. No fucking way am I handing over those drugs to a kid in this day and age!

So obviously they won't listen to me when I told them they are idiots for giving him drugs. He was failing in school and used that as an excuse to get the pills.

Adderall literally stunts your growth, it says so right on the drug insert, and they take that risk among all of the other ways adderall fucks up your body and mind in order to treat a fake disease that doesnt matter.
Honestly, I think they should go back to using Ritalin or maybe Focalin bc i'm sure it goes easier on the body not having the levo. Same with dexedrine and addy IMO, I had both and Dex/Zenzedi was way cleaner, although still terrible for me.
Obviously ritalin is abused, but it doesn't seem to be nearly as big of a problem as addy. I can see why too. It just plain doesnt feel as good.
