    the american military industrial complex didnt only came about at the end of ww2, its an extension of what came before it.

    before big capitals were vested into the production of weapons and war machines in the world wars, they were usually vested in construction. so the statue were merely the result of construction industrial complex that prevails during that era. instead of going abroad for war to induce national spending and collect kickbacks, the frenchys went abroad to construct.
