As to how you could improve yourself, i don't know whether or not you are obsessed with the truth about the Universe and everything but i think that sometimes it might be helpful to stay a little more grounded.
Thanks bro, I feel like you really care. I apologize for being frustrating but I honestly feel like it's a good thing, checking each other's ideas and beliefs is a good thing.
I don't feel like my "special interest" negatively affects my life, as while it is something always on the back of my mind it hasn't prevented me from living well. I don't talk about that sort of thing much in real life, if anything I talk more about it on these forums because I feel like the internet is one of the only places I can really do that. There used to be a lot more people like me in this community. -
2016-11-18 at 1:23 PM UTCWelfare isn't a problem. Is it flawless? Obviously not. It's like.... setting up a hospital and saying if you're fucked up, come in, and we'll help you, no matter what. Maybe some people come in, lying about symptoms, trying to work the doctors and psychiatrists, but meanwhile a large number of people who need help are getting it.
I know I know you think I am basic and that's a simple-ass view, but it's my view nonetheless. There's this faux concern about helping 'our own' here in America, but those who preach that are vehemently opposed to welfare, for the most part. More concerned about making sure the people that don't need help don't get it, rather than those that do need help, getting it.
Not to mention the shit tons of fucking money we waste on 'defense' and bailouts and all this other shit that could go to use 'helping our own.' The truth is, nobody gives a shit. We want trillion dollar planes, billion dollar stadiums, millionaire athletes, millionaire actors, movies made for tens of millions of dollars, but get a little ruffled when a nigga scams the system.
Selfish people we are. Here for a little blip of time and trying to act like we know what's right, we know the truth, we have the answers; nobody else. I just think it's cool helping a brother out if I have the means to. Shit's tough man, it really is. It feels good to assist.
Sorry that wasn't related to anything really other than the above post or two.
Anyway the suggestion was a good one. Enter, you're certainly not going to be able to ruin the lives of the female gender collectively. Nothing would be more rewarding than finding one singular victim (at a time, perhaps) and dedicating your life to ruining hers. There's actually a few decent films with a similar premise- one is about an apartment lobby manager fucking with a single lady's apartment when she's at work, just doing little things like shoving her toothbrush up his ass or releasing a bunch of cockroaches all over, to name a few. I can't remember the name offhand. Good times though. I suggest that route- the Subtle Fuck. -

I don't notice myself paying taxes, since I get paid with them already removed. Then when I do my taxes at the end of the financial year, I get money back. So... I don't care? -

The problem is government. You should realize you are free to help anyone without the need for welfare to exist. -

I like your post for the most part but as one of those people vehemently opposed to welfare I say the best social security is employment (as ironic as it is that I am unemployed). But really maybe I am more moderate than I let myself believe. I understand "letting" a few scam the system to help those truly in need. And for sure there should be a saftey net for people. BUT FUCKING EBT CARDS!? Are you fucking kidding me? Thats a system looking to get scammed. Its far to easy to trade your government benefits for cash, drugs or rock and roll. Its a broken system, everyone knows it. And we need to make it better, not just for the people afraid their tax dollars are going to leaches but better for the people who are part of that system of getting benefits. -

Sure I realize that, but assisting someone is in and of itself a form of welfare, whether it's government enforced or not. If we were to remove medicaid and food stamps other forms of assistance, a lot of people would just... die. Kids included. I know the totse mentality would say to that 'Good, less leeches and niggers and scum in the world,' and if that's ones opinion that's fine, I just find it to be sort of childish approach/outlook. Just like mental health, and addiction, and sexual orientation, and everything in between, the world of welfare is complex and I know you're aware of that. I don't know what the tweaks are that need to be made, but outright removal of the welfare system would be disastrous, and flat out cruel.

I don't disagree. I've worked my whole life, albeit menial restaurant jobs and basic physical labor- nothing that required any sort of higher education, but nonetheless I've worked, and I've more or less hated it. I would LOVE to be paid to sit around doing nothing, or so I think, but like you, I go stir-crazy. It's maddening to not have things to fulfill your time. Clearly working is a good thing, if nothing else, to preserve one's sanity, which I suppose is a paradox in that a mindless work routine can very well chip away at the very sanity one may be trying to preserve.
That being said, and I'm sure you're already well aware of this, there are countless people who cannot work, or perform certain tasks, or of course the millions of people who DO work- 1 or 2 or even 3 jobs, and still struggle to get by. Of course, in many of these scenarios, people have children and families to take care of, and we could just simply say 'well if you can't afford 'em don't have 'em, and that's well and good and a nice suggestion, which does nothing to change the fact that they can't be undone, and there are all these kids out there not having been asked to be born who will struggle to get by.
Is it fair to everyone? Of course not. I wish I had the solutions. It's a fucking wacky world we live in to have people that afford their own islands and resorts and within miles shit cesspools of corruption and poverty. I don't think we should all have some magical equal income but I sure as shit wouldn't be disappointed if there was a little mending to the income inequality. I always think back to square one that not one single person chose to be brought here, nor chose who what when where or why they'd be brought here or into or whatever. I find it concerning that we can look down on people because of their circumstances, especially at a young age, just because we were so fortunate to be born somewhere where opportunity is far more conveniently located, if you will.
ALSO, I like turtles.

As for everything else you have said, I dont agree with all of it, but its probably one of the most sane takes on the situation one will get. Of course we cant just toss people on the street for having more kids than they can handle financially. Thats just fucked up. Absolutely to the idea that while work maintains sanity it only maintains it longer or better than having no work. And for fucking sure its a fucking wacky world. Hopefully some unwacky motherfuckers will fix it.
As for me, im far to wacky to be of much help. -

Yeah without welfare people would just die man, because you know back in the stone age we didn't have this monolithic institution called welfare and we all died. We are actually all dead right now.
My point is, people will adapt. And maybe, just maybe if you've been nice and helpful to others, they'll help out when you get too sick to work, or too old or otherwise incapable. -
