Now if the S7 "upgrade" had been $5 or something (like it used to be in previous years when they still had the 2yr contracts) then I'd have done it…but fuck em! as my old mom used to say.
That's why apple are not doing so well on the new phones…the dumbos are finally getting a clue that the $1000 phone they bought last year is still fine.
i’m sure there was a story a while ago about apple purposely slowing down the older models, then it came out they admitted to it but said it was to conserve battery power -

is it really cheaper to get a phone from your telco than buying them from phone dealers ? -

It used to be when they had the 2yr contracts...they basically used to give them away pretty much. I had an iphone 3, then 4 then 5 which I got for free off AT&T (or for something stupid like a $1)..then they changed their plans and for the S6 I had to pay 20 something a month for 36 months for it. That was paid off like 2yrs ago though...as I say it's still fine just needs a new battery.
I just don't want a store to change my battery out as Im paranoid about them accessing my phone while doing it...you can get a kit on ebay to do it but it's a pain with the s6 because of the glued on glass back. -

2019-02-15 at 4:11 AM UTCdidn't they stop making the s7 because they were blowing up?
when i get new phones (rarely happens, I don't understand people who always break/replace phones, nor do i understand people who get hyped over phones coming out), I just put money on the table and tell the clerk to give me whatever phone I want. Never understood all these contracts and plans and shit. Just pay em every month that you want service.
"bought an iPhone X, threw the old one in the garbage (garbage!), because I live like a king"
