lul
It's absurd how the point of the story is that the investigation has failed to turn up any evidence of 'Russians' helping Trump's presidential bid, but 90% of it is trying to justify that they still did.Russian intelligence operatives were seeking to help Donald Trump by leaking hacked Democratic emails and attacking his opponent, Hillary Clinton, on social media.
1. There's no evidence that 'Russians' leaked anything; in fact given the evidence it's much more likely the emails were leaked by someone who had 'legitimate' access to them.
2. The only thing that's been proven in regards to 'Russians on Facebook' is that people posting from Russian IP addresses (again, nothing suggests this was Russian government) spent about $4000 on political advertising, and that was reported to have been on socially-divisive issues like gun control and immigration, not anything specific to the participants in the election.By many counts, Trump and his associates had more than 100 contacts with Russians before the January 2017 presidential inauguration.
This is just racist, really. What would be the response if the number of contacts with israelis or dual-citizens was tallied and used to accuse the US President of impropriety?"Donald Trump Jr. made clear in his messages that he was willing to accept help from the Russians,"
Read the actual exchanges."Trump publicly urged the Russians to find Clinton's missing emails."
When it came out that Hillary had deleted a large chunk of those emails, he jokingly said that perhaps the 'Russians' (going along with the meme that it must've been the Russians that leaked them) still had a copy and could forward them on. -

They know that. It's just an example of how corrupt and dishonest these journalists are. -
2019-02-13 at 4:10 PM UTCFrom the article "Burr was careful to note that more facts may yet be uncovered, but he also made clear that the investigation was nearing an end."
Cohen still has to testify before the committee so... -

I'm pretty sure they're fully aware of the dishonesty in all the things I mentioned and more; I didn't even finish reading the article -
