That would keep the actual blocking down to posters many people found objectionable. It could even require to be within a set period of time rather than cumulative totals.

That sounds like it would take a bit of effort to implement a really shitty idea, I'd rather have mods than some cliquey democratic bullshit you're advocating. He said that right now people can make up email addresses when registering. The thing is, there's a loophole that renders that a useless security measure. I don't want to mention specifics because I don't want to give finny any new ideas, but there's a chance he already knows this trick by now anyway.
The only other solution, and I don't really like it all that much because it goes against everything I stand for...
Is just closing registration for a little while.
I mean, at least presumably, whoever is making all these infinityshock accounts will eventually get bored and give up... Right? -
