Is anyone else suspicious of the global attitude toward marijuana essentially turning on a dime?

2019-02-05 at 8:21 PM UTCIs it really a matter of everyone simultaneously wising up to potential revenue?
The only similar event I can point to in the U.S. is prohibition, which ended 3 years into the Great Depression. This might also help explain the legalization of gay marriage, as it further encourages a two-person household and expands healthcare availability to those who might not otherwise have access.
Could corporate debt, China FUD, Mangoman, the end of a decade of QE and god knows what else be a catalyst for a bigly market crash in the near future? -
2019-02-05 at 8:26 PM UTCall I know is I was blacklisted for my weed smokin for the last 40 years and I feel I'm dew a settlement for all the anguish and suffering I lived through while the government was trying to keep me down

2019-02-05 at 8:28 PM UTCIt hasn't changed globally, just in North America.

Cannabis was legal for a lot longer than it was illegal. prohibition is a drop in the bucket. its a return to the mean, to normalcy. -

2019-02-11 at 6:55 AM UTCI'm not sure about "on a dime". It seems like it's been a pretty gradual shift since like the 70s towards cannabis use being considered generally acceptable.

Yeah. If anything I'd look at google and youtube and the internet in general for reasons for the shift.
My Aunt is a psychiatric nurse, and says that cannabis is a complete disaster, because so many people smoke it and wind up full-schizo. Yes, you seem to need to have a genetic predisposition for it in the first place, and not all people wind up with it, blah blah blah, but apparently pot = schizophrenia at least according to her.
But then again, fuck listening to the experts, am I right? -

Yeah, it has been greatly exaggerated, both the good and the bad of it. The legal market has also screwed up the search engine results and flooded them with ads whereas before you could find information on the plant and strains a lot easier, particularly sativa strains.
Damn shame really. I like the conspiracy that it's banned because it makes mind control more difficult. That only works with certain kinds of mind control. -
