In the business world, when they want to get rid of you and can't get anything solid on you to give you the boot, what they do instead is give you a promotion and more responsibility. This brings your character and performance requirements to the forefront, right where they want you. A trick as old as the hills.

The meetings are private because they are having sex. You don’t want to see it.
With midgets in goggles and parachutes. Its all the rage...i think they are going to be the new "secret weapon" to guarding the great wall of the united states

There is corruption in every part of government, and for that matter, businesses. Of course there have been fuck ups due to fucked up people. But, for the most part, I absolutely trust our intelligence agencies.
It's beyond insane to blindly trust the judgement of groups that operate without oversight and with impunity, who have a history of murdering, torturing and experimenting on both US citizens and foreigners, and of erasing the evidence so they don't have to answer to it.
In terms of threat assessment Trump is a bumbling fool with little more than ceremonial power next to their viciousness.

I just gotta get this off my chest! I don’t know how anyone could still like trump.
So our biggest adversary is Russia, has been for many years. I don’t care if you think our reasons for being adversaries are unfounded, that’s not the point. The point is, if OUR president meets with the leader of our biggest adversarial country, and he refuses to tell anyone what was said. He actually goes as far as taking the translators notes.
The first talking points they should hit on is how to bring peace between us, or at least a working relationship. That would be first and foremost. Not these BS private meetings where there is no transparency about what is said!
I don’t see how people can’t see that our pres is a traitor. What kind of koolaide are they drinking?
Do you want us to have a friendly relationship with Russia, or a hostile one? Why do you want to be enemies with another country instead of friends?

since trumps campaign the whole country seems to be in disarray. it's been pretty hard to ignore. so I began doing enormous amounts of research not just on trump and his background but on the federal budget proposals, the tax breaks, bills being passed, immigration and more than I've ever wanted to know about any of it especially trump & politicians. people that elected him don't seem to realize the long term consequences of his actions and his presidency.
donald trump is inflicting wounds on this nation that may, in fact, never heal. republicans who have enabled him in that endeavor, at the local, state and national levels, are unlikely to be looked kindly on by history.
I have found no words that better sum up what has happened to our country and the republican party since donald trump took the stage than those spoken by maine republican senator margaret chase smith back in 1951.
