Lol. Nowhere did I say or assume any of that. When the government wants to know, the amount of people and resources dedicated to the objective far outweighs the confidence you have in your ability to know the same.
I get that. But they're also people just trying to do their jobs and get by, and if someone highly placed has a political aim, and faces few consequences from working towards it, history has shown that they're often willing to bend those rules to suit their whims.
I probably wouldn't piss on roger stone if he was in fire. But I'd probably have a beer with him. And this shit looked all kinds of sketchy. Did they think he has armed GRU units to bring him to Russia in case of arrest? Did they think he was going to have an armed standoff?

Police and prosecutors use all sorts of tactics and displays to create a sense of heightened danger around a defendant whether its for the media or the jury. Causes people to get a pre-perception surrounding the individual where they will then demonize them in their minds from then on.
If you're smart you'll identify when they do this and question their motives for doing so. If you're dumb you'll be fooled into thinking exactly what they want you to believe.
