The Native American elder at the heart of the viral Lincoln Memorial clash with a Kentucky Catholic high school student has dismissed the teenager's 'coached and insincere' statements about their confrontation and admitted he has 'never set foot in south Vietnam' despite repeatedly describing himself as a Vietnam vet.
Nathan Phillips, 63, appeared on Today on Thursday to give the latest in a string of interviews about his clash with Nick Sandmann, 16, and his classmates from Covington Catholic High School on Friday.
Their stand-off was captured in a viral video which, when it first emerged over the weekend, showed Phillips being taunted and mocked by the teens as he beat his drum.
Subsequent videos show the teenagers being harassed by a different group of protesters beforehand and Phillips marching towards them.
It has since emerged that Phillips escaped from prison as a teenager and was arrested multiple times for drinking.
He has never been to Vietnam and spent the war years serving in the US first as an infantryman and then as a refrigerator technician.

What happens when you defend yourself in a situation like that if you're white? They defended themselves with gestures, without violence, and now people are threatening violence against them. It's illegal to defend yourself if you're white, and if you don't get arrested for defending yourself against non whites, expect a pack of them to show up at your door at some point or come after you. Whites just don't have the pack mentality. They refuse to fight back, like you said, if it was a black (ghetto) kid that had been accosted by the native guy he might've been knocked out.
I actually think the death threats are a good thing. Enough of this sort of shit and white people may realize that the governments of the world are against them in general. Then they can finally drop the religious bullshit, which encourages whites to race-mix and destroy their own race gradually. There's already less whites than anything else, so they may as well realize this sooner or later, that religion and governments currently are against the white race.
The real solution, since it's illegal to defend yourself if you're white, is to hunt down every prosecutor, cop, judge, etc, that puts a white person in a cage for defending themselves, and cut their heads off, or put a big fat lead slug in their heads.
If a pack of morons comes after you or your family cause you were white and dared to defend yourself, the cops aren't your friends. You'll have to get rid of them on your own, preferably quietly. Even the score. Whites these days are too domesticated to survive, in most places. People like the serbs or polish may be a different story, but this is just an example of governments(which control the media) and religions, fucking over the only people that really take them seriously. -
