btw, people who asked to be banned are either just attention soliciting whores, or weak willed and fabble mind3d faggots that have no self control whatsoever. -

2019-01-22 at 8:51 PM UTCI don't agree with banning any users unless it's post/thread flooding, PI, or excessive kidiot graffiti/scribblings.

no halves-halves,
Users shouldn't be allowed to overly disrupt the experiences of their fellow users. For example, if a user front page flushes the last 10 pages of a discussion board with 10,000 pics of a bleeding asshole, nobody wants to have to scroll through all that shit. Only kidiots do that kind of shit. But there are also degrees of seriousness, underlying causes, and the frequency of the "literary" abortion matters. But people like Lanny don't even begin to understand the logistics or fine points; they're like a bull in a China shop. Useless. They cause way more damage than the damage they are purportedly trying to prevent. Lanny is a classic case of that. The poster boy for mod fuckup, that kid. Never learns. -

people come to BBSes to experience fellow user-generatednconditions and experiences, whatever they may be.
if you dont want to experience user-generated experiences, then the solution is to go read a book or blogs, or whatever dispenser of information that dispenses information one way while you sit there passively,
taking it up all your information orrifices. -

Let's say you've been waiting for weeks to watch a good movie that's coming out at the theater downtown. The movie finally opens, so you go down there and anticipate how good the movie will be, but then just as the movie starts some guy in the front row starts yelling and screaming and throwing stuff around and spitting on everyone. He's so loud you can hardly hear the movie, and he's mostly blocking the screen. You think that's OK? You think you should just do without watching it and go home? You think that's fair and/or reasonable? Those are rhetorical questions, by the way. It's not even a debate. -

thats what netflixes are for.
people who go to crowd a cinema dont go there for the movies, they go there for the experiences a cinema has to offer, those that are good and those experiences that are ill.
people who dont want any of that would just pirate a copy or wait till they come out in video stores or cable tvs. or netflixes. -
2019-01-23 at 6:29 AM UTCIf someone is causing intentional disruption merely to attention whore, that is definitely worthy of a ban. However, if you play favorites and mod arbitrarily, like Lanny does, and then people cause intentional disruption and attention whore solely because of the hypocrisy of the mod, that's a whole different story. You see how this works now, benny?

2019-01-23 at 6:56 AM UTCattention whores dont exist by themselves.
attention whores exist because some of us have a need to vent our attention to online because we lacked the opportunities to vent them irl.
i dont know how about you but i come here to meet these attention sex workers.
people who cry about attention whores are worse than attention whores because their an even bigger attemtion whores.
its like people who intentionally walk thru the red light districts and complain about the prostitutes that exist there, if you dont want to see prostitutes, just dont go there. -
2019-01-23 at 6:57 AM UTCalso, for the nth time, im not benny.
