Even moderate schizophrenia looks frightening. I have a friend who has it and it's just incredibly tragic to watch how his life is affected by it.

I also have a bit of it in my family tree, so I genuinely worry about it.

I wish I could lighten the mood with a joke or something, but I genuinely do fear schizophrenia, and feel for anyone who has it.

    :(

Yeah skitz is a scary thing. My grandma and great grandfather were diagnosed skitzos. It takes over a persons life and their ability to interact with the world around them. Pretty hard to see people you live in a constant struggle. It’s like they are fighting to survive every moment against themselves.

Used to make me think when I did psychedelics I would follow the same path. Never happened but it induced some bad trips for sure.

It’s a sad thing for those affected and everyone involved in their lives

But also, not only do people generally find him "weird," but he himself always assumes that other people find him "weird" anyway. It ends up being kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, and thus a positive feedback cycle that just keeps building upon itself.

People generally avoid him, and so I'm one of the few people who hang out with him and talk to him on the phone and all that (and I really don't like talking on the phone).

    He deserves a normal life.

Does he look weird? Is he fat?
