No drug can ever substitute for the purest love.
Every drug ever created is the invention of someone scorned by Cupid.
There is but one grievous ill that ever befalls lonely solitary walkers.
Human beings are, and always will be, truly alone, no matter how much they think they are establishing spiritual connections with other solitary beings.

See that's exactly it.
Our love lasted about the same time period. We kept texting each other after our last physical encounter - for over a year even.
But a geographical barrier can be devastating to any newly budding romance.
Add in the age difference, and it was just not meant to be.
Who knows... maybe in a few years the age difference will be less of an issue, and I'll be in a better position financially to make regular trips to her home town.

Interesting song.
Super accurate too, both literally (she lives across a wide body of water) and figuratively (and doubly-literally too... she is 19 - just one year older than the girl in the song... and the age gap is like yet another body of water separating us).
