Mobile Site Logout

    Make it an expanding menu type dealie that opens up a confirmation thingie. I'm a derp and my fat fingers ever so gently graze the logout button at least once a day, leading to me having to furiously retype my credentials.
    The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

    I log out accidentally all the time too.

    It's worse as my username doesn't autofill in all of the login boxes. I'll have a look and see.

    Huh, I've never had this problem but then I don't use the site on my phone very often. I added a confirm dialog, let me know if it works/does the right thing/fixes the problem.

    whats the purposes of a logout button anyway ? when people want to logout dont they just close their tab or browser ?

    its a button ive never use.

    Assuming normal browser behavior your session will remain alive for like two weeks after you log in. If you want to switch accounts, or are using a machine other people are using and wouldn't like them to be able to use your account (or know you have an account) you need to be able to log out.

    Definitely fixes the problem. The odds of my chubby derp fingers hitting logout and accidentally confirming that I want to log out are astronomical.
