Unemployment here is at a 49yr low...
Back home in England I knew enough unemployed people to know why they were unemployed ;)...it wasn't because there were no jobs...Hell I had a friend when I left (29yrs old) who never worked a day in his life and said he never would...there was nobody I knew that wanted a job who was long term unemployed...the only long term ones I knew of didn't want to work OR refused to get themselves the education/skills they needed...that's on them too.
If you want to work you can work...even if it's buying and selling shit on ebay, driving for uber/lyft etc etc...it's a "gig" economy now...Walmart, Mcdonalds etc etc...always hiring.
The simple fact people think they are "owed" a job shows their flawed mentality...PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY...no one owes you anything, you have to get off your ass and make it happen.
Step 1...pull away the comfy chair they are used to sitting in. -
