Phenibut - Real Shit or Snake Oil?

2019-01-05 at 5:46 AM UTCI have a strong inclination towards GABAergic drugs - I have basically been binging the past ~1.5 months on every GABAergic I could get my hands on (alcohol, various benzos, GHB, GBL, even a little bit of Kava).
But my goal is to gradually ween myself off so I can go back to a (somewhat) normal life where I have a few (6+) beers or glasses of scotch every night before I lay my head to rest.
So, naturally, during my steadfast devotion to the annals of human experiences with GABAergic drugs and supplements, I came across Phenibut. However, I have tried it before many years ago, and it didn't seem to do anything worth writing home (or here) about.
I figure that it could have just been some weak product, or maybe I'm just too used to going balls-to-the-wall when it comes to stimulating my GABA receptors, or perhaps I just didn't do enough or take it under the right conditions; who knows...
But I ordered some, and have a small plastic container of the stuff right in front of me, and am just wondering if anyone has any positive... heck, I'll even take slightly positively impactful"... experiences with it.
And also, if any of you know any special tips for how to maximize it's effects, that'd be cool.
That all being said, though, I'm gonna be taking it to help stabilize my brain's relaxation/anxiolysis center while I taper off of the heavy-duty marauders that have been squatting in my neurons, trolling my synapses. -

2019-01-07 at 7:08 PM UTCOkay, so I did a bunch of reading up on it, and am currently kind of transitioning myself from my current (prescribed) benzo taper to the phenibut.
So with each passing day, I take less and less diazepam, and gradually increase the phenibut dosage.
I took 2mg of diazepam this morning along with ~1.5 grams of phenibut.
Tonight, before going to sleep, my goal is to take 1mg diazepam along with ~1-1.5 grams of phenibut.
Then tomorrow morning it's 1mg of diazepam with ~2g of phenibut (if everything goes as planned).
That will be my last benzo dose.
I'll experiment a bit with the phenibut dosage until I tweak it to a suitable dose.
If it helps me completely transition off of the more "heavy hitter" GABAergics like GHB, alcohol, and benzos, without any more physical withdrawal symptoms, I will consider it a fantastic experience.
If I notice any other improvements, such as reduced anxiety compared to before all the heavy usage of the aforementioned GABAergics, or better social skills, or improved sleep, then those would all end up being bonus outcomes. -

I had a subscription to lithium many years ago, but also 8mg of clonazepam a day (!!!) and seroquel (I think only at night though - again, this was quite a while ago).
Because of the combination, I can't really speak to how lithium on it's own affected me. However, for some reason I feel like I remember it being really, really unpleasant for some reason.

I've had a nightly drinking habit since ~2004, as well as intermittent benzo prescriptions, and a lot of GHB recently, as well as other non-prescribed benzos.
You know what's so annoying and ironic?
I bought some pregabalin/lyrica off of the deep web, and it was seized by customs...
I've bought ketamine, oxycodone, lots of benzos and other pharmaceuticals, and it always made it across the border.
I try getting one of the least recreational / most legitimately medical drugs, and it gets seized, not only once, but TWICE. Maybe this vendor was just horrible at stealth.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Jesus. Only no shows I had were DMT from Canada (no love letter), and a half sheet of acid the week that HANSA market went down. Don't know if either were seized, but I think the acid was a scam. Was a newer vendor who got rave reviews from notable forum members.
Is a testament to why I never use lowball vendors whatsoever. Only used him because the main guys were on vacation. I did get crack from a fairly unknown vendor though, bc crack is surprisingly difficult to source on dream.
God, HANSA was the shit. Double sig escrow or whatever they used was awesome. I still love dream though. Cut the marketing shit, keep it low profile. -

I have kinda considered it, but I also want to be super cautious when it comes to opiates, or even anything that might be kinda similar.
Not too long ago I had a brutal tooth ache - so bad that I contemplated taking some pliers and just pulling it out (because I couldn't wait 2 days for my next dental appointment). I ended up going to the E.R., thinking of asking them to pull it out. I was even drinking in the E.R. (even though it is only marginally effective as a pain killer).
Finally, I got to the doctor, and I turned down a codeine (T3) prescription, and asked him if there was anything else that's at least better than OTC tylenol or aspirin. He gave me naproxen (I think - something like that). I can't remember if it made that much of a difference, but by the time it got to that point, I was sufficiently intoxicated (from the alcohol) that I was barely able to tolerate the pain enough to wait 2 more days.
I mean, yanking a tooth out is pretty drastic. But if it came down to that or taking opiates, I would have pulled the tooth - myself if I had to (like if I was living in the woods or an underground bunker or something). -

What country do you live in?
Personally, I live in Canada, so I try to order from Canadian vendors whenever I can - for most popular drugs, there's usually a lot of local vendors.
But more obscure drugs, especially certain pharmaceutical drugs (like basically any benzo other than alprazolam), or pregabalin, etc - all tend to be pretty hard to find locally.

I tried buying crack from a Canadian vendor - I ordered a few grams at once, even (a couple hundred bucks or so), because they had really good feedback and a high rating, and were local and everything... I don't know if maybe they were shut down by law enforcement or something, or just decided to do an exit scam, but they sent nothing, and apparently a whole bunch of other potential customers didn't get anything either. -

I used to have an online source from the Phillipines, like back in 2007 (before Tor and the "deep web" were really a thing).
He had everything, too... I got diazepam, oxycodone, ketamine, etc all from him. It was awesome. -
