I know, I was thinking a few years ago how viable it would be to take a boat out into the pacific, catch tuna, release with some kind of tracking device and then when it rejoins the school use explosives so you could then scoop all the shocked tuna from the surface. Then head on to Japan.

So I can't blame China for wanting to set up a defense of military. they have never had in the past initiated war on a large scale. They always battled back against attacks on them first. at least not in the past few hundred years. If they did, it was border nations they disputed land rights over.
Yet, at the same time, I often wonder if they're slowly buying up America to stage an area for their protection here in the USA and abroad. though it wouldn't take much for a military to come in and swoop them up if convicted of spying.
it's a two way belief I have of understanding their struggles (like against Japan) and paranoia of "payback" against the USA for meddling in their business of Taiwan.
As far as attacking Japan with nukes on civilian population is up in the air. it was fucked up on a large scale to go after civilians. There was said to have been a crippled Japanese fleet originally targeted. but the cloud cover was strong and they decided to hit Kobe Japan because it was a major industrial town with mostly men working in factories.. but the cloud cover was also to much, so they went to look for a city where cloud cover broke. that happened to be Hiroshima. they literally never targeted the city. it just was a large city (mostly art and culture.. less industry) and they dropped it on that.
some might argue this as fact.
but Nagasaki was chosen because that is apparently where Hirohito apparently was located.

And it wasn't just against Asians or non whites. Hamburg and Dresden where also attacked at the end of WWII's European war. between the two cities nearly twice the population was killed as the two nukes did.
on a much harsher and slower form of death. burning to death.. not being vaporized. but hiding from American Bombs only to be bombed at night with British Oil bombs that was like napalm. melting people into soapy wax puddles. no bodies were found. no skeletons. just puddles of wax at nearly 500 thousand dead. -
