Peter Jackson's film with computer enhanced WW1 footage. Some of the scenes in it's are pretty amazing, everything is colourised, sharpened, and made to look just like modern video.

I was shocked, as it makes the people look real, the first time I've genuinely thought that about footage or pictures from WW1.

It's actually kind of shocking that many of the same governments are still in charge that arranged the genocide of young men that occured in the World Wars. And the elite lying to their people about what they need to do - same thing as now. Perhaps it shows the self-destructive nature of European civilisation.

It's still just in select theaters isnt it? I really wanted to see it but couldn't.

I remember some vid of a lady lip reading ww2 footage on YouTube. This is like 40x better I can't wait to see it.

Quick reminder that the world powers knew exactly how the war with modern weaponry would go and that human wave attacks were ineffective and usually ended with you losing more than the enemy did even with a victory.

Germany did nothing wrong. The Kaiser was a good guy. His only sin was making Germany great, and Britain nervous about the then emerging power. If WWI wouldn't have happened WWII wouldn't have happened and by extension it would be reasonable to assume that the cold war wouldn't have happened. Maybe not even the USSR itself.
