Taboo Game Assigning A Mark That Doesn't Post Anymore

   I was assigned Kinkou. She doesn't post anymore, making the game impossible. I opted out to try and sign up again to get a new mark and now I am not eligible. WTF?
   The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

   Yeah the game is fucking retarded. I did the exact same thing you did a few accts ago and now i dont bother. This is why nobody gets banned by it anymore.

   For real though, what if we had the game reset on a monthly basis or something? Everybody is assigned a new Target. Accounts which have been inactive for X amount of time are kicked out of the game.

    Yee, this is definitely a problem. The taboo code is kind of a neglected corner of the codebase. It's not particularly bad, it's just deliberately pushed off into a rarely visited section and was kind of a drunken whim. But that's not really an excuse for it not working.
    
    I pushed some code that _should_ make it so only people who have posted recently (last 28 days I think) are assigned as marks. I'd appreciate any help in testing it out. I changed the mark re-roll timer to be 1 day (so you can un-reg and re-reg every 24 hours now) since the re-roll didn't end up being as abusable as I thought it was going to be.
    
    Also working to make the usertitles assignment not be permanent and should hopefully have code up for that soon.

    yee, like when you win/lose taboo right now your usertitle gets changed and the only thing that changes it back is another taboo victory/loss or me just manually setting it. I'd like it to work such that if you win or lose you'd get the title for like a month or something and then it goes back to whatever it was before.

    What do you mean "still only be one"?
    
    The intent is that if you didn't have a custom title (i.e. you were in the title ladder based on your post count) then you'd go back to being that, if you had a custom title (like mine or yours, just arbitrarily assigned at some point) then it would go back to that.
