    But seriously, you take a car like a Honda Civic and leave it out for a five or six hours at -50F, even with a block heater plugged in, that shit ain't going to start here. Every inch of it will be frozen solid, colder than an ice cube. Even the water in the radiator, with anti-freeze in it, will be a solid block of ice. Expose your hand for five minutes and you'll get frostbite, so good luck trying to fix it. Only way out is to push the vehicle into a shed or a barn, out of the wind, and let it thaw for a few hours.

    I read there is a mountain in ND that had the lowest reading ever recorded (during a wind chill). I believe it was Western ND.

    I'll see if I can find the info. I know the place is cold because My Mothers side of the family lived there in central ND near Killdeer. At times it becomes as cold as Siberia. I find it hard to believe though. with Canada being north and the White Territories even colder.

    but this was a top of a mountain.
