I got a nespresso, it's the best thing ever

   It takes little plastic capsules of coffee, and forces hot water through them to make pretty decent coffee. It also has a separate milk frother.
   
   Because the capsules are disposable, there is no cleaning to do.
   
   It means I can make cappuccinos (frothed milk + espresso) every morning. Way better than instant.
   
   I'd give it 9/10, I have to deduct a mark cos I think all the plastic is giving me cancer again.

   Very convenient, not crazy about the quality of espresso. The better manufacturers offer something resembling a capsule recycling system, of which I would encourage you to take advantage.

   It doesn't make a lot of sense to bother recycling such a small quantity of plastic, the amount of oil required to do so in terms of energy would surely be far more than the oil saved by repurposing the plastic as opposed to making more.

   According to wikipedia nespresso capsules are aluminium with lacquer on the inside. I'm pretty sure the cheap generic capsules you get from aldi and lidl are plastic though. I have a lot of different ones right now, I'll need to pull some apart to check.
