Because my license was suspended over court costs which I had already paid, I believe they are extorting me so fuck them. My town is dirty as fuck, but tries to be 'small town america', I fucking hate this place. I do drive sometimes but lately I have stopped and am paranoid to do it after I was followed by a cop. I am like >< this close to being a habitual traffic offender anyway, if I get another driving while suspended, I will do some jail time. My reinstatement fee is like 400 bucks right now, on top of the court costs. Fuck, it pisses me off even bringing it up

Well what other choice do you have? Pay people to drive you around the rest of your life? Drive around in fear of a cop pulling up behind you? Or just I guess suck it up and pay it and have that weight off your shoulders. Extortion or otherwise I guess you're sort of victimizing yourself by not being able to drive even though you deserve the right to drive. I mean how often do you pay $500 in fees related to having people drive you around? I know you're not dumb and I get what you're saying, maybe you just want more of a comfort buffer before you shell over $400 plus dollars,but it would probably feel nice to not have to worry about it anymore. The government isn't going to stop fucking us over any time soon, so technically by paying money that you don't or shouldn't have to pay necessarily, you are still sort of winning....sort of.

I am stubborn as fuck, and I probably will pay people to drive me around for the rest of my life or drive myself. The last time my license was suspended, I drove for a decade without one, working a job where I commuted an hour each way every day and worked 7 days a week 16 hour saturday and sunday overtime. I eventually got pulled over on the way to work for speeding, and got thrown in jail for driving while suspended. I bailed out right away and had my girl pick me up, and when I got home a cop pulled up and arrested me again for a warrant for felony driving while suspended. Basically they screwed up, and arrested me twice for the same thing, and I could have sued the city but I didn't because if I did, they would harass me or maybe even worse. I signed a paper saying that all charges would be dropped if I refrained from taking legal action.
I got my license back and then some years later I got arrested for 'visiting a common nuisance' and I went to court on it and everything, got my probation, paid all my court costs, got told by the judge 'if I ever see you again in my courtroom, you will be sorry', even though he said that same thing to me already many years before....and then I got a notice saying my license was suspended for not paying the court costs for that case. I mean, who keeps their jail papers? I throw all that shit away ASAP. So basically they want me to pay the court fee, and since my license has already been suspended more than once,I have a reinstatement fee. I am cheap, I don't want to pay that shit,.I have drugs to buy and bills to pay and kids to feed and shit. My son lives at my house and so do I, mostly, and he drives me around when he can, he is going to college and working.

I also don't drive myself much anymore because if I hit someone driving like a caddy or something, I would feel bad about not paying them. Because I wouldn't fucking pay them. My credit score is not even close to 600, I remember someone posted a link to fingerhut where they had a $200 line of credit just for signing up...I bought something interesting and useful and never even made a move to pay it back. I bet I have a hundred grand in medical bills. I just don't pay for shit if I don't feel like it. And you know what? It's worked for me so far for over 20 years. I tried to do the right thing and live like a normal functional member of society with a job and a family and a reputation but you know what? You fuck up one time, and the shit just cascades, and it is by design, we are just sheep to be fleeced, and I just wised up and said fuck it and now I take as much as I can and give back as little as possible. I know I'm scum, and I feel bad about it sometimes, but in the grand scheme of things we are all going to end up in the ground together so fuck it.
