Folks, I purchased a sizable bag of bay scallops for $6...some mussels in garlic tomato sauce for $4, and a decently sized bag of salad shrimp for $5. All were extremely delicious. Wut a bargain.

I've shopped at Aldi's for probably close to 40 years. What I've noticed of late is that they are getting more and more expensive. They used to take over old grocery stores that had gone out of business. These days they are building brand new stores and charging more. They (helped) drive Shop n Save out of St. Louis recently which also allows them to increase their pricing. They used to stock pretty much just the basics like milk, eggs, cheese, flour, vegetable oil, canned goods, etc. while now they are selling a much wider range.

I get my food for free. Most organic vegetables and berries, and whole grains, tofu, eggs, salmon, and occasionally some sweets.

the closest thing to shellfish I will eat is prawns (crayfish) and Abalone (A snail, not a muscle)
Chinese fried prawns (if veined properly) are the best thing ever. I could order a dozen of those fucking large things. they're called Giant Shrimp but they're not even related apparently.
Prawns are not shrimps.
