I've enjoyed fresh Octopus while holidaying in Spain (Costa del sol, Costa Brava, etc) many years ago, It got very rubbery as it cooled off. Squid obviously is more common and can be found in many restaurants...it's relatively bland on the palette and only when seasoned worth any thought or discussion.

Octopus is pretty bland too, eating it without seasoning or fried into something is kinda unpleasant.
