Adults have this perspective on childhood that is based upon Judeo-Christian notions of morality and humanism and are incompatible with our bright and diverse new world. If a 9 year old feels the natural urge to mate then that is a clear indication that they are ready for sexual interaction. If two adolescent people desire to engage in sex-play, regardless of their sex or genetic position (meaning brother sister) the children should be encouraged to engage in safe and healthy sexual interaction.
