Philosophical Question: What i a drug-incuded blackout?

EDIT: Can't edit title...It should say "what is", not "what I"...

I've ben vaping etizolam and have heard some horror stories on the topic.

But I feel relatively aware and coherent right noe.

How does one definitely demonstrate to themselves that they are blacked out?

Has a psycholgocial test, or even a clandestine heuristic, beet determined to figure out this out?

I got work conference calls in like 10 minutes. I'm worried blacked out and just dont even know it.

Shit, this is some philosophical shit when you think about.

It raises questions of identity and of the day-to-day cohesiveness of that one true uniting substance that keeps us whole.

I've just never been able to figure this one mystery of life out... If I feel a concern that I might be blacked out, is the salience required to make such an observation evidence to the contrary? Or am I gonna not remember this post all in like 10 minutes?

Do more drugs is my advice.

You'd think that would be easy, but I spend too damn much on drugs that even on a moderately decent salary I can't afford to keep up with all the goodies available out there.

I'm working on branching out into consulting.

In the tech world, that's like hitting the motherfucking jackpot.

I's my goal that keeps me going, and keeps me just sober enough to function one day at a time.

To recap this morning's conference call:
-- I just need to incorporatre AWS SAM subtemplating to securer sensitive data stored at environment variables.
-- Eveyrone else is still working on shipment API.
-- QA is still running tests on Cognito triggers in production.

    Next actionable steps (for me):
    Incorporate AWS SAM subtemplating.

    See, I hold my own.

    I can still function.

Drugs are awesome when you get them under control.

The secret is to control them, and not to let you control you.

How much are you vaping? You'd probably feel totally coherent and on top of things if you're blacking out. You're still aware, it's just you cant really remember.

If you're using decent amounts, or have been for a while, there's probably stuff you've forgotten.

You can't self identify blackouts though. Nobody wakes up and is like "oh damn i blacked out." No. They look at the destruction around them to identify blackouts. You need other people to tell you whether you fucked up or got fucked up or what.

    No major distruction so far...

I dropped a $300 glass piece which kinda sucks, but I'm replace that shit no problemo...
    Conference went well though.

I'm already know for being wierd/quirky at work, so I've set a certain baseline that kinda lets me get away with being a little bit off on some days.

Lol I've got that baseline at work as well. I also make a habit of going to the bathroom a lot because it lets me get away to take drugs/vape, and also I just go to the bathroom a lot. Sometimes I leave and just walk around while everybody assumes I'm in the bathroom. Mostly I just like moving around and being active so I do this when it's slow or to get away from the computers.

You sound like my kinda dude.

I'm so fucking lucky that I telecommute, so it's infinitely easier to hide any state of inebriation.

Heck, I took a hit of a the etiz vape during a conference call, and nobody was the wiser.

But yeah, I know that feel. Did the whole Office Space thing for a while. It can be brutal without mind-altering substances to pass the time.

    I'm crossing my fingers.

My gooodness though, if I were still working at the last office I was at... This one chick was like a sexual harassment suit waiting to happen.

Good thing I wasn't vaping benzos at the time.

Now I work from home, so little chance of any sexual misconducts (except against myself, of course .
