  1. Originally posted by -SpectraL No, read the account properly. Pilate pleaded with the jedis several times to let Jesus go, even going so far as to point out he had committed no crime, but the jedis still wanted him dead. Then Pilate realized it was the time of year when one convict would be released to the jedis, at their choice, so he offered to release Jesus to them. They demanded a convicted murderer to be released to them instead, and so Jesus was executed on their insistence. Pilate then washed his hands of the affair and let them have their way, for fear of the jedis in the upper echelon, and how they might incite the people to rebellion. That's what really happened. It's this same cabal of corrupt jedis today who are the direct descendants of this gang of belly-crawling snakes who murdered Jesus way back then.

Yes...Pilate had Jesus..HE made the decision..he could have said "no" to the jedis, instead his decision was to turn him over to them knowing what they were going to do...that makes him responsible...that was HIS decision.

It's the same as "blaming" the guy who straps a convicted murderer to the electric chair...it's not that guy who made the decision...the judge/jury made the decision...Pilate made the decision regarding Jesus...the jedis simply carried out the procedure Pilate knew his decision would lead to.

  7. Spoiler: Jesus died for our sins..that was the plan all along...if that had not happened then our sins could not be forgiven because only through Jesus can we enter heaven per what his dad's rules.

As such the ones that killed Jesus...as part of the required plan...are the as much the saviors of all our souls as Jesus himself.

I know that blows your tiny minds.

At the time Pilates support from Rome was shaky at best, and he feared antagonizing the jedi leadership (the Sanhedrin, which was dominated by the Sadducees.) knowing they would complain to the emperor. The teachings and actions of Jesus were more of a threat to the jedi religious leaders than the Roman authorities. The Romans wouldn't have initiated action against him without prompting from the jedi authorities as the last thing Pilate was worried about was a military coup led by Jesus.

Torah (the law) and temple were the two great institutions of Judaism. Jesus challenged the authority and continuing validity of both, posing a significant threat to Israel’s leadership. He accused them of pride, hypocrisy, and greed. Jesus asserted that the Sanhedrin were acting against the Lord’s anointed, that they would face judgment for this, and that Jesus himself would be their judge. Such a challenge demanded a response! In retaliation, and to protect their authority and legitimacy, the Sanhedrin turned Jesus over to Pilate, modifying their religious charges to political ones, sedition and claiming to be a king in opposition to Caesar, and gaining from Pilate a capital sentence.

The account of charges brought to Pilate by the Sanhedrin in Luke’s Gospel are related to sedition: “And they began to accuse him, saying, ‘We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ, a king. . . . He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here’ ” (Luke 23:2, 5).
  9. ^ Doesn't matter, he made the decision. He had the power to decide..and he did..."I wash my hands of him" is a decision.

"and gaining from Pilate a capital sentence."...right there.

Jesus called them "offspring of vipers", because that's exactly what they are. Poisonous snakes. And right now, they're running everything.

    So I’m just curious Specs,

Are your thoughts consumed by jedi folks? Do you look at TV, news, etc., etc., and resent the jedis because they supposedly own the entertainment industry?

They may own all the things you say, but I never ever consider jedi folks as evil. You seem to go back to their ancestors a lot. That’s comparable to black folks hating me for what my ancestors did to the slaves.

Actually you have that backwards. The jediS turned Jesus over to Pilate. The Romans crucified him, not the jedis. But you are correct, they knew exactly what would happen by changing their charges from religious ones to political ones. The sly dogs.

  14. Ultimately God made the decision that Jesus should die..again that was the plan all along...anyone who aided god in that plan was doing gods work.

It's a bit like "popular" culture likes to portray Judas as the bad guy when in fact he should be "celebrated" as the 2nd most important next to Jesus...again without Judas's "betrayal" there would be no death/resurrection...saving of souls.

Like I said before, I have nothing against jedis, merely a specific faction among them.
