    Canada has NO MILITARY. Literally. A handful of jets, a bunch of kids in uniforms, no tanks, no battleships, nothing. If any country wanted to invade America, all they'd need to do is invade Canada first and it would be a pushover. Once they had Canada, it would be easy and close fighting from there.

    China would gain nothing from a mainland invasion of the US. If an actual (kinetic) war were to occur, it'd mostly be a case of expelling the US and allies from Asia:



    The DF-21D range (red area, likely expanded a little beyond orange at this point) would be a non-negotiable exclusion zone for surface vessels, which essentially halts all of the major US-controlled economic sea routes.

    TActics aside there isn't any major power dumb enough to try directly attacking a nuclear power. Even the 'neocon' lunatics who are sure the US could 'win' a nuclear exchange are largely shunned (even by the military industrial complex - they largely want the threat of war to drum up business, but know that an actual war would destroy the market), Ex-Soviet holdovers in Russia even more so.

    Yeah, that's the major point behind the push for their Eurasian integration projects - a direct link to the European market in the short term, and development projects across the way to prepare markets in 'developing' states in Eastern Europe. They might give in to buy time, but I think the US has more to lose than China (long-term) in this 'trade war' nonsense.
