I just want to say I don't like these remakes, they are way too over hyped and I have not seen any real gameplay footage at all, just hyped up Machinima.
I see these projects every day in my news feed about their updates and asking for voice actors. Either make the game or shut up!

I remember when everyone thought fallout new vegas was no good, and now it's the cat's pyjamas.
These fan games don't interest me because more than likely the dialogue will be lacking or cringey because instead instead of a multimillion dollar studio providing writing and VA, it's some inside-jokish script written by computer nerds.
It's also living in the past a little bit, I'm a big fan of fallout and elder scrolls, but I haven't been to all the locations, which I plan to do eventually, in any of them yet except FO3. By the time I do that, ES6 will be out, and I'll be overwhelmed all over again.

New Vegas will always be my favorite I think, if for no other reason than the faction system. Hated the "you're either totally good or totally evil" story though
Fallout 4 was good, but I hated the dialogue system. It's just too slow compared to the old one. The weapons mods were insanely overdone but good. The story was not that great but at least no group was perfect, you had to pick the one you felt was best, and had to take the bad along with the good

They only did that to gain intelligence. And in almost all cases, everyone around them noticed significant personal improvement. And even so, the vast majority of the "taken by the institute" stories were complete bullshit, invented by grieving family members to justify their loved ones' disappearance when more than likely they just found a hot young flame and ran off with them (something a synthetic would never do)
You don't really believe any post-war entity would have the resources to replace ALL humanity with synthetics, do you? They can't breed.
If you read more into it, you will see that they tried to help the people of the Commonwealth at first, but they were plagued by mutual sabotage.
