People who can only speak one language are generally boring

It's crazy to think that people develop entire languages with grammar rules and past tenses and masculine feminine, for the sake of a book, that's dedication.

op is the most platitudinous shit I've read in my life. he must be placing all of his value in his multilingualism, which was likely born of necessity and not desire to understand other cultures (lol who fucking cares). there is nothing special about speaking multiple languages if paco the day laborer can figure it out. you can spend your whole life trying to truly understand the culture of a hamlet in romania, let alone every culture in the world.

You're a fat fuck and you're slow, and you take up the whole isle in the grocery store? Don't you know people have places to be? Why the fuck you need more food? Take a hollow point to the gut.

    Agreed.

If someone with a French accent starts talking to you in English they are furious you don't understand their native tongue, regardless of where you are. If you speak French back to them their eyes will light up and you're immediately kindred spirits

How do you say "Never talk to me again you filthy french" in french?

Seriously though, most people only know one language. That's why you have to learn another language to talk to them. And if only knowing one language generally indicates they're boring, why bother learning a whole new language to talk to those boring people? 🤔🤔🤔

I can tell you've never left your country because most people speak at least some of another language. Once you cross the ocean out of north america you'll find yourself in a plethora of languages.

In Africa it was not uncommon for me to meet people to speak three or four languages. Now it'd be cool if they knew more USEFUL languages but still pretty awesome to think about that level of skill.

Yeah its actually very easy. Still mind expanding depending on what you learn, but easy nonetheless.

I can hold basic conversation in 6 different languages. English, Hindi (both fluent), spanish, chinese, russian, and German. I know some words in various other asian and african languages. It comes natural to most people when they are surrounded by it.

If you only speak English you're especially pathetic because you have all the resources in the world to learn other languages yet DONT.

English is a very difficult language seems like there's more exceptions than rules. It's hard to pronounce the words in English. Have some sympathy!!!!
