You have a point, Archer. It doesn't surprise me at all, it's nothing new. Still, it is horrific, but aldra is right. Part of this outrage is because he was a journalist and worked with the 'distinguished' Washington Post. I'm not sure but he is also a USA citizen? I thought I read smth regarding that on twitter, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, they are going to use this against Trump as well. Not that I care about the guy, on the contrary. But this would be a big mistake and lame.

The hypocrisy of the West is disgusting. All chief executives of big banks and other organisations have pulled out from this big business event in Riyadh. Sir Richard Branson, has halted talks ("halted", mind you) over a $1bn Saudi investment in Virgin space firms. As if what happened now is anything new for Saudi Arabia. A bunch of hypocrites, all of them. They are just concerned about their reputation, that's all. Last but not least, Saudi Arabia is also in the UN Commission on Human Rights. They even chaired that commission a couple of years ago.

Yeah, journalists who cover these topics and areas are. At least most of them anyway. It's part of the job though. You can't get certain info. if you're not connected somehow with them.
